TCO’05 ENVIRONMENTAL
LABEL
FOR
PCS
TCO (The Swedish Confederation of Professional Employees) is the authority for
TCO’99, TCO’03and the latest label TCO’05. The organization has 1.3 million
members, of whom large majorities depend on efficient IT support in their work.
They want computers to be user-friendly and not to present a health risk. TCO
uses environmental label to push technical development forward, based on the
needs of their members. Environmental label is a support for the customer giving
a quality stamp on the products. 
The latest label from TCO is the TCO’05 Displays, for Desktop and Notebook
computers. The new standards contain strict criteria on acoustic noise as well
as visual ergonomics, electromagnetic fields, ecology and energy.
Nemko offers testing of Monitors, PC and Notebook
Nemko is an approved laboratory for testing visual ergonomics, emission and
energy saving according to all TCO standards. Nemko is also approved for doing
the verification of the ecology documents requested for the label approval.
